Nya toppdomäner: .BLACK, .MEET, .REN och .SOHU
Igår aktiverades de nya toppdomänerna .BLACK, .MEET, .REN i rootzonen. Både .BLACK och .MEET är generiska toppdomäner.
Syftet med .BLACK är enligt Afilias:
".BLACK proposes to create an Internet space in which businesses, organizations and individuals can create an Internet identity tied to the color and the concept of black. This will allow for an explosion of creativity and Internet offerings around this concept"Så här skriver Afilias om .MEET i sin toppdomänsansökan:
"The purpose of .MEET is to create an Internet namespace which could be used by visionary entrepreneurs and⁄or the existing online dating and companionship matching providers to become the gathering place on the Internet for many of the more than 40 million online companionship seekers."Både .REN och .SOHU är såkallade .BRAND toppdomäner och kommer inte vara öppna för allmän registrering.
